Phones have venda record
The fierce competition in mobile telephony in May turned in a record month of sales for the industry. Throughout the country, the market gained 2.9 million new customers, according to data released yesterday by Anatel. Brazil now total 157.5 million mobile phones in operation. In SC, is 5.18 million.
It was the best performance of the year and the first time in 2009, a month beyond the sales made in the same month of 2008 – in May last year sold 2.8 million units.
From January to May this year, total cellular sold reached 6.86 million, the third best, behind the total registered in 2008, when 9.57 million new units were authorized, and 2005, when sales reached 8.13 million in the same period.
The State follows the national growth rate. After the purchase of Brasil Telecom, Hi joined officially in SC in May, and the first month in the State, won 150 thousand new customers, according to chief marketing officer, Flávia Bittencourt. The campaign launch focuses on pre-paid models. Now the company deals prepares for post-paid.
